Our Story

Economix JP started as a high school economics club at Hiroo Gakuen, where students discussed economics daily, organized study sessions, and hosted workshops. But we quickly realized the problem was bigger than one school.
Japanese students have limited access to international economics education, especially in English. Existing competitions are only in Japanese, and the gap between classroom learning and real-world financial skills keeps growing.
So we built something new. What began as a small group of passionate students has grown into a cross-institutional initiative spanning Hiroo Gakuen, Waseda University Senior High School, Jissen Joshi Gakuen, and Hiroo Gakuen Koishikawa, with a team of 16+ members working across partnerships, content creation, and events.
Our goal: become the bridge that connects Japanese youth to global economics through literacy, exposure, and eventually, Japan's first English-language Economics Olympiad.
Built by students who care
Founded by five high school students at Hiroo Gakuen, with members now spanning four schools.
